Description of the Castle Tour
Arrive at Isfryn cottage Friday Evening after 5pm
Day 1 (Saturday)

Need easy access to the sea? Just straighten the river Clwyd, easy enough when Edward I is the boss with almost 1000 laboorers at hand.
Please note this castle is only open to the public between 1st April and 31st October, though outside these Months we will still include it in our tour as it’s exterior can still be explored and photographed.

The house has a fascinating history, parts of which date back to the fifteenth century, but it was in the 1830’s that the building was remodelled as a castle. You can experience the history of the house and the splendour of the Victorian period rooms, which are brought to life by the free audio guide.

A lasting monument to mans engineering abilities with the natural world as a setting. The rocks of Snowdonia complement the dark grey stones of this key strategic castle, which remarkably went up in only four and a half years.
We will arrive back at Isfryn at approx 4:30pm where the evening is yours to enjoy in which ever way you choose. You may like to consider a leisurely walk around the hill or may be down to the river or over to the village pub for your evening meal.
